# 1 Log in at app.adparlor.com using Google Chrome
Log in with your email address at https://app.adparlor.com
AdParlor is optimally designed for use in the latest version of Google Chrome (as we release product updates weekly, you should keep your Chrome version up to date as well).
We don't actively test our platform in other browsers, so we cannot guarantee that you will get full functionality if you are not using Chrome.
# 2 Turn off all Ad Blocking plugins
Make sure pop-ups have been enabled for app.adparlor.com.
# 3 Create an Advertiser entity on AdParlor
An Advertiser within AdParlor houses all your Facebook/Instagram/Twitter campaigns. It’s recommended to create one Advertiser entity for each of your ad accounts or clients.
From the Manage > Advertisers menu, select New Advertiser:
Fill out the next screen and click Next: Link Social Accounts:
# 4 Link the Facebook ad account to AdParlor
Before linking, be sure you have all the proper page and ad account permissions granted. Read through this article for more information.
Next, in another tab within the browser, log into the Facebook account that has all the proper permissions granted.
Now, from the Social Accounts tab, click Connect Facebook Account:
*You must accept all additional permission requests at this point in order to continue*
Next, select the ad account you want to link:
As a Self-Serve client, you will be responsible for the media cost:
You have the option to import existing campaigns from the ad account or to start fresh:
Read through this article for more information on the linking process.
Once you've completed this process, your Ad Account will now be linked!
# 5 Set Up Tracking Pixels (optional)
If you will be using Tracking Pixels, they will need to be set up prior to any Ad creation. They are attached at the Ad level during Ad creation and cannot be attached after the Ad is already created.
Navigate to Measure > Tracking Pixels. Any existing pixels on the ad account are automatically imported into AdParlor and will be displayed here. If you need to create a new tracking pixel, click +New Tracking Pixel:
Fill out the form. Before clicking Save, click the Facebook Conversion Pixel Terms and accept the terms:
If you receive an error message, navigate to the URL in the error message and accept those terms as well.
Now, back in AdParlor, click Save. Your conversion pixel code will be generated. The code must be inserted into the header of the page of the website where you want to track conversions:
# 6 Set up additional tags (optional)
You have some additional tracking options available through View Tags, Click Tags, URL Tags, and Ad Intelligence Tags. Similar to tracking pixels, these should be set up prior to Ad creation. Read more about each tag in this article.
# 7 Set up Library lists (optional)
Set up Library lists in advance if you know you will be reusing the same targeting or creative aspects often. Read through this article for more information.
#8 Create your first Campaign
Toggle to the Facebook & Instagram tab to view your dashboard. Your campaigns will be housed here:
Click the +f icon to enter the Ad Creation Tool:
Click Create Campaign:
Enter your Campaign details and click Continue. Note that the Primary Goal field is used to determine your conversions and derived metrics (CPA, CVR) - so make sure this is set. For suggested mappings of Campaign Objective -> Primary Goal, refer to this article.
Your Campaign shell is now created! Continue on in the Ad Creation Tool to create your Ad Sets next.
# 9 Create your first Ad Sets
If you have multiple pages linked to this account, select the appropriate page from the drop down here:
Select your targeting. Refer to this article for more information on how to bulk creation segmented targeting for split testing. Once complete, click Generate x Groups to bulk create your target groups:
You have the option to review, edit and save each target group. When ready, click Finalize x Groups:
Finalize the details of your Ad Sets. Budget and Bids are required fields. Use the green push down button to copy entries to all Ad Sets. When ready, click Create x Ad Sets:
Your Ad Sets have been created! Continue on to create your Ads by clicking Add Posts.
# 10 Create your first Ads
First, you’ll need to create “posts” which, when assigned to an Ad Set, will become your Ads.
Create new posts in bulk (again, more information in this article) or choose from existing posts:
Split your posts into Creative Groups depending on how you want to split them between your Ad Sets in the next step. Ie) If you will be assigning all posts to all Ad Sets, you can simply combine them into one Creative Group. But if you will be assigning only certain posts to certain Ad Sets, such as French posts to French targeted Ad Sets and English posts to English targeted Ad Sets, generate these posts as two separate Creative Groups. When ready, click Assign Posts:
Now, assign your Creative Groups (posts) to your Ad Sets (target groups) with the check boxes. Click Queue x Assignments. Repeat until you’ve assigned all your Creative Groups to their appropriate Ad Sets.
Add the optional Tracking Pixels, View Tags, Click Tags, URL Tags, or Ad Intelligence Tags in this final step, before clicking Create x Ads:
Your Ads have been created! Close out of the Ad Creation Tool with the X in the top right corner.
