How does Rule frequency work?

Rule frequency determines how often a rule's conditions are checked throughout the 24-hour day. Currently, you can choose to check your rules once every:

  • 24 hours
  • 12 hours
  • 6 hours
  • 1 hour
  • 30 minutes
  • 15 minutes
  • 5 minutes

If your rule frequency is set to “24 hours”, then the rule will be checked at exactly midnight (in that rule set’s timezone). If your rule frequency is set to “6 hours”, then the rule will be checked at midnight, 6am, 12pm, and 6pm every day (in that rule set’s timezone).

Pro Tip:

If you're looking to check your rules at specific times of the day or even days of the week, you can use the Current Time of Day and Current Day of Week triggers when creating your rule conditions to create these specialized schedules. Learn more
